Henry Holbrook Dies Friday

Funeral services for Henry B. Holbrook, 82, who died at his home Friday from a heart attack, were held Sunday at 2:00 o'clock at the Peet Chapel with the Rev. Don Moore of the Church of God officiating.

Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Mrs. Maude Bonner and Mrs. Edna DeCastro sang "Beyond the Sunset". Pall bearers were Dale Fullerton, Charles Rejda, A. F. DeCastro, Joe Jones, Joe Klemke and Beryl Fullerton. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Henry B. Holbrook was born in Portland, Mich. January 3, 1881, the son of Charles and Emma Holbrook. He came to Lewistown, Mont. as a young man where he owned and operated a dairy farm until 1916 when he worked in the Salt Creek Oil field.

In 1922 he was married to Hattie Bernice Nixon. He was a truck driver and ranched in Converse County until 1937 when he came to Niobrara County where he ranched and raised Angus cattle, 18 miles north of Lusk.

In 1956 he was forced to retire because of ill health. They moved to Sheridan until the fall of 1962 when they returned to Lusk.

He is survived by his wife, Hattie.
