Joseph I. Hudgens

Services for Joseph I. Hudgens, 72, were held November 23, 1987, at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, MO. Rev. Derald Compton officiated.

Mr. Hudgens died November 20, 1987, at Sale Memorial Hospital in Neosho, MO after a long illness. He was born May 27, 1915, near Lanagan, MO to Joseph I. and Pearly E. (Seals) Hudgens.

He married Hazel M. Hendricks Feb. 28, 1942 at Anderson, MO, and was drafted into the Army two weeks later. After returning home in 1946 he worked at various occupations in Colorado and Wyoming and New Mexico, eventually retiring as a truck driver for the Clover Club Foods Co. in New Mexico. The Hudgens' lived in Lusk for a short time, from 1980-1982.

Mr. Hudgens is survived by his wife, Hazel; four sons, Jim Hudgens of Hampton, VA, Joseph C. Hudgens and Gary Hudgens, both of Anderson, MO, and Daniel Hudgens of Lanagan, MO; three daughters, Judith Haworth and Vicki Fraise, both of Lusk and Donna Dollar of Anderson, MO. one brother, Henry Hudgens of Pocatello, ID; four sisters, Jettie Young of CA, Ada Day of Kansas City, Ruth Henderson of Noel, MO, Ona Lea Gilion of Anderson; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, one grandson and two granddaughters.
