Funeral for Mrs. Jennewein Held in Lusk Sunday

Funeral services were held Sunday for Mrs. Coye Jennewein, 54, who died last Wednesday in Natrona County Hospital in Casper of a heart condition.

Services were held from the Peet Chapel with the Rev. James Davis of the Congregational Church officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was the organist and Mrs. Lyle Eddy and Mrs. Emerson Bonner sang, "Abide With Me," "Rock of Ages" and "That Will be Glory."

Pall bearers were R. G. Pfister, Charles Christian, Robert Dorn, Roscoe Kilmer, Otto Krekeler and Tony Hytrek.

Honorary pallbearers were Emerson Bonner and Joe Kuhn.

Betty Jane Carpenter was born August 23, 1910 at Eaton, Colo. the daughter of Jacob and Mae Carpenter. August 18, 1934 she and Coye Jennewein were married at Scottsbluff. They were the parents of two sons, Kenneth of Casper and Ronald who drowned in 1962, the result of a boating accident.

Prior to moving to Casper the family had lived at Jay Em, Manville and Lusk.

She is survived by her husband, Coye; son, Kenneth; two brothers, Ray Carpenter of Osage Beach Mo; and Paul Carpenter of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Whipple of Granada Hills, Calif., Mrs. Virgil Ellsworth of Diamond Springs, Calif., and Mrs. William Dietrick of Grants Pass, Ore.; and two grandsons. Michael and Mark of Casper.
