Mass for Joseph Kinsella Tuesday

Mass was read for Joseph Kinsella, 84, at St. Leo's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. May 16. Mr. Kinsella died at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital May 13.

Rosary was recited May 15 at the Peet Chapel at 8:00 p.m. Conducting the service were Father James R. Whalen, a priest from Ogallala, Neb., a nephew of Mr. Kinsella and Father Terence McGovern of Lusk. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Milton Himes, Harry Brown, Otto Vondra, C. E. Marvin, Ben Wolfe, Mike Hammer.

Joseph Richard Kinsella was born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kinsella May 18, 1887, at Greeley, Neb. He and his first wife lived in Sioux City, Iowa. Four daughters and one son were born to this marriage.

He married Lillian Elizabeth Fleming August 3, 1928 at Sioux City. They spent most of their married life there and in Omaha where he worked in the elevator and the alcohol plant during World War II. He was also a caretaker of city parks in Omaha.

In November, 1959, they moved to Lusk where he was employed by the Town of Lusk as caretaker of the city parks. He retired in 1968.

Survivors include his wife Lillian; three daughters and one son, two stepsons, Eddie Fleming of Kalispell, Mont., and Elmer Fleming of Lusk; one stepdaughter Mrs. Edna Taylor of Hot Springs, S. D., numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. His first wife and one daughter died previously.
