Arne Duane Anderson

Mass of Christian Burial for Arne Duane Anderson, 47, was February 20 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Sheridan officiating. Interment was in the Paul J. Wataha section of the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.

He died February 17 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County shortly after being admitted. He had been in intermittent ill health for the past several years.

He was born April 16,1951 in Glendive, Montana, the son of the late Arnold O. and Bernice I. (Crawford) Anderson. He attended schools in Glendo and graduated from Glendo High School with the class of 1969. He also attended the University of Wyoming for four years.

He married the former Cora Johnson in Rock Springs on December 29, 1988.

He was employed by Pacific Power and Light at the Jim Bridger Power Plant for the past 23 years as a heavy equipment mechanic.

His hobbies included walleye fishing and elk hunting.

He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. He served on the dart board of directors and also served as president for one year.

Survivors include his wife of Rock Springs; two stepsons, Cody Williams and William Harley, both of Rock Springs; one stepdaughter, Cora Washman of Pinedale; one brother, David Anderson of Glendo; two sisters, Cheryl Gaukel of Keeline and Rona Bruegger of Lost Springs and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one stepson, Derik Joslin; two step-grandchildren, and one nephew.
