Louie H. Anderson

Louie H Anderson was, age 85, was born Sept. 28, 1899, at Hartford, S. Dakota to John and Bertha, he passed away Nov. 25, 1984. He was one of eight children.

He married Audrey Lucille Compton in 1927, she preceded him in death. One son, Johnny was born to this union.

He worked several years as foreman of Northwest Rock Quarry at Rapid City, S. Dakota. In the early 30's he ranched east of Hermosa, S. Dakota. He owned salvage yards in Hot Springs, Newcastle, and the one at Lusk for 23 years. He retired in 1973.

Survivors are two brothers, Herman of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Albert of Lamoure, N. Dakota, one son, Johnny of Gillette, Wyo., five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Services for Louie H. Anderson were at the Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk on Nov. 29, 1984 at 2 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Roy Howell.

Music was by Minerva Watson, organist and Mark Lohr sang The Church in The Wildwood and How Great Thou Art.

Active pallbearers were Vern Modine, Ray Edwards, Ernest Hales, Wendall Geike, Jim Pfister and Don Whiteaker.

Interment was in Lusk Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Peet Mortuary.

Memorials may be sent to the Niobrara County Nursing Home.
