Funeral services for Francine Lake, 69, of Lusk, who died Wednesday in Cheyenne, were held Monday, March 4, at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Alliance, Nebr. The Rev. Harold Bentzler officiated and burial was in the Alliance Cemetery.

She was born March 27, 1915 in Alliance and lived there until 1972. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

She belonged to the First Christian Church in Alliance and the Baptist Church in Lusk, as well as a number of women's clubs.

She married Raymond Lake in Alamosa, Colo., on June 3, 1972, and he survives her.

Also surviving are three stepsons, Forest Trenkle of Alliance, Raymond Lake Jr., of Reno, Nev.; and William Lake of Evanston, Wyo.; three stepdaughters, Pauline Grimm of Winnemucca, Nev.; Roberta Sue Jowell of Cortez, Colo.; and Jolene Lake of Baggs, Wyoming; a brother, Donald Shanks, of Lake Stevens, Wash.; a sister, Marian Seegrist of Alamosa, Colo.; and a number of step children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A brother preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer fund.

Bater-Landa Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
