Memorial services for Barbara Ann Lancaster, 57, were held Friday Aug. 27 at the Bader Funeral Home with services conducted by the B. P. O. E. Does #64.
Mrs. Lancaster died Aug. 23, 1993 at her home of natural causes.
She was born Nov. 30, 1935, in Rock Beach Queens, N.Y., to Fritz and Isabel (Harter) Hoerauf. After graduating from Williamsburg Vocational High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1951 she attended Wayne School of Beauty Culture in White Plains, N. Y. graduating in 1952. Mrs. Lancaster owned and operated Barb's Beauty Shop in Bedford Village, N. Y. from 1954 to 1956.
On Sept. 29, 1956, she became the wife of Robert Lancaster in Crotton Falls, N.Y. The couple made their home in the New York area and raised their children there until relocation to Prescott, Ariz. where the Lancasters operated a restaurant from 1976 to 1978. In 1978 the family moved to Lusk where Mrs. Lancaster worked as a waitress for several years.
She was a former member of the B.P.O. E. Does Drove #56.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, Lusk; mother, Isabel Hoerauf, Yorktown Heights, N.Y.; children, Tracey Barclay, Tustin, Calif. Eric Lancaster, Denver, Colo., Robert Lancaster, Fort Collins, Colo.; Kurt Lancaster, Lusk; two grandchildren and brother Frederick Hoerauf, Yorktown Heights, N.Y.
Memorials to the Elks Scholarship Fund would be appreciated by the family.
