Fred Langdon Dies is Calif.

Fred J. Langdon, 76, of the Van Tassell community died of a cerebral hemorrhage February 18 in Van Nuys, Calif. where he had been visiting his son and daughter for the past three and a half months.

Funeral services were conducted at the Peet Chapel Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. A quartet composed of Mr. A. D. DeCastro, Mrs. Emerson Bonner, Donley Unruh and Harry Lyon sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Beautiful Isle."   Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Active pallbearers were: Nyal Siemsen, John Anderson, Lester Lewis, Herb Tadewald, Clarence West and Lawrence Adams. Honorary bearers were: Wm. Brunkhorst, Ed Redifer, Vic West, Ed Lewis, Mr. Bancroft, George Siebken, Con Parson and James Christian.

Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Fred Jennings Langdon, son of J. W. and Maria Harter Langdon, was born March 4, 1883 in Tinsdall, S.Dak. He came with his parents to northwest Nebraska as a small child and in 1894 they went by covered wagon to Missouri. As a young man he moved to Elgin, Nebr. where he married Vida Gail Burns December 4, 1907. They were the parents of two children, Mrs. Louella Pierce and Eldon, both of whom reside in Van Nuys, Calif. In 1910 they moved to Wyoming where he filed on a homestead south of Van Tassel. He died unexpectedly at the home of his daughter in Van Nuys.

Mr. Langdon had never affiliated himself with any particular church but many times professed his faith in God and was an avid reader of the Bible.

Survivors include his wife, his two children; three brothers, Wiley, Crawford; A. L., Overland Park, Kan.; and Guy of Knoxville, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Newman, Denver; Mrs. Pearl Percy, Merriam, Kans.; Mrs. Clara Wilson, Citrus Heights, Calif.; five grandchildren and three great - grandchildren.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral were; Wiley Langdon, Crawford; Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Langdon, Overland Park, Kans.; Mrs. Pearl Percy , Merriam, Kans.; Mrs. Anna Newman, Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Langdon , Mrs. Louella Pierce and Loren and Clyde Vernon all of Van Nuys.
