Last Rites for Tillie Anderson

Funeral services for Tillie Anderson were held at Memorial Methodist Church in Harrison the morning of July 27 with Rev. James Keith officiating. Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery. The Houston Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. James Keith sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Crossing the Bar" accompanied by Mrs. Robert Todd, organist.

Pallbearers were Bruce Parsons, Albert Adams, Jack Parsons, Rude Geike, Clarence Schnurr, and Dick Herren.

Botilda Catherine (Christenson) Anderson, known throughout her life as Tillie, was born January 13, 1879 at Yankton, S. Dak., the daughter of Claus and Maren Christensen. She died at the Crawford Community Hospital July 25.

At the age of two years her parents, two older brothers, and younger sister moved to St. Helena, Nebr. Later they moved to the Montrose Community in Sioux County by immigrant train. She has been a resident of Nebraska since that time.

In September 1901 she was married to Nels Anderson to whom was born one son, John Albert. Her husband , died April 8, 1921, and her son May 15, 1962. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters. Surviving are her three grandsons, Gerald of Harrison, Larry of Casper, Wyo., and Calvin of Manville, Wyo., a daughter-in-law, Vera of Manville and seven great-grandchildren.

From out of town here to attend the funeral were Mrs. Grace Kuns, Miss Emma Walter, Mrs. Fred Bruegger, all from Lusk; Mr. Roy ZumBrunnen of Kirtley, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Adams and Mrs. Veda Langdon of Van Tassel; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Anderson and family of Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Vera Anderson and Calvin of Manville, Wyoming.

A family dinner for members of the Anderson family and several friends of the family was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Al Hourt.
