Donald P. Loebe Laid at Rest Saturday, Jan. 29th in Denver, Colorado.

The remains of Donald P. Loebe, a former Lusk resident, were laid to rest in Mount Olivet cemetery at Denver, Colo., following rosary services held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 28th at Boulevard Mortuary in Denver, and graveside services at 10:00 o'clock Saturday morning, January 29th.

Mr. Loebe passed away in San Diego, Calif., and prior to bringing his remains to Denver, Colo. recitation of the rosary was held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 24th, at the Lewis Colonial mortuary with requiem mass being held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 25th at St. Patrick's' Church in San Diego, Calif. Pallbearers for the services at San Diego included three nephews, Russell Fernau, Paul Doman and Eddie Bowers, two brothers-in-law, N. O. Kraus and Homer Cox, and an uncle, John Dorsey, all of San Diego.

Donald P. Loebe was born to Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Loebe at Stanton, Nebr., June 15, 1906 and departed from this life at 6:00 a.m., Saturday January 22nd, 1955 having attained the age of 48 years seven months, and seven days. Death came quietly to the deceased as he slept in the family home, where he had been cared for during the past year.

As a young man he came to Lusk, Wyoming in 1928, where he followed the sign painting and interior and exterior decorating trade. On January 27, 1929, he was united in marriage to Miss Opal Porter in Lusk. They became the parents of one son, Lew Vaughan Loebe. For the past thirteen years they have made there home in San Diego, Calif. and during the last seven years they have operated a small restaurant.

He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his wife, Opal of San Diego, Calif., one son Lew, of Grand Rapids, Mich., his father, A. H. Loebe, Denver, Colo., three sisters, Mrs. Gene Welch and Mrs. Vivian Kicken, Wheatridge, Colo., and Sister Mary Adeline, O.S.F., Milwaukee, Wis., a brother, G.W. Loebe, Morrill, Nebr., and two small grandsons of Grand Rapids, Mich.

Don Loebe Dies in San Diego, Calif. Jan. 22

Don Loebe, a former resident of Lusk, died in San Diego, Calif., January 22. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Harry Fernau of Lusk and Mrs. DeLos Hackett of Gillette, sisters of Mr. Loebe, left January 23 to attend the funeral.

Mr. Loebe worked as a painter while he lived in Lusk. During the past several years he and Mrs. Loebe have operated a small cafe in San Diego, Calif.

Funeral services for Mr. Loebe were held Jan. 25.
