Funeral Service For Mrs. Joseph McConaughey
Funeral service for Mrs. Joseph (Flora) McConaughey, 85, was held at the Peet Chapel Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Mrs. McConaughey died Sunday following a long illness.
The Rev. Frank Bozart conducted the service. Mrs. Frank Bozart, organist, accompanied Mrs. Paul Morgan and Mrs. Pete Germann as they sang "In the Garden," and "Beyond the Sunset."
Casket bearers were Richard Lenz, Charles Lund, Ray Taylor, Clifford Cox, Jerry Urbanek and Everett Kilmer. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Flora Augusta Clark was born at Mason City, Iowa on June 2, 1889, the daughter of Katies and A.M. Clark.
She attended schools and graduated from Winona, Minnesota Teachers College. She taught school for several years in Minnesota. May 24, 1919 she married Joseph H. McConaughey at Lamberton, Minn., and they moved to Wyoming in 1919.
Mrs. McConaughey was a member of the Eastern Star, affiliated with the Methodist Church and an associate member of the Open Bible Church of Lusk.
Survivors include her husband; two sons Clark H. and Donald B. of Lusk and one daughter Helen Lorraine Hackleman of Torrington; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her parents, three brothers and one sister died previously.
