E.L. McKnight

E.L. McKnight, 76, of Loveland, CO died August 15, 1987, at McKee Medical Center, Loveland. He was born May 23, 1911 in Springfield, MO to Melvin and Mamie (Killingsworth) McKnight.

McKnight married Mildred Nichols on August 31, 1935 in Ft. Collins, CO. They were the parents of three children.

The McKnights moved to Lusk in 1962. He owned and operated McKnight Bakery until his retirement. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #24 A.F. & A.M., Order of Eastern Star #26 and the Congregational Church in Lusk and the Loveland Lions Club.

McKnight is survived by his wife, Mildred of Loveland; two sons, Robert Lee of Lafayette, CA, Melvin Rex of Sedona, AZ; one daughter, Loretta Louise McKnight of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren; and one half-sister, Frances Brooks, Richmond, VA.

Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 18 at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey A. Ruegsegger officiating. Burial was in the Loveland Burial Park. Memorials may be made to Loveland Lions Club Eye Fund.

Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
