Oliver J. (Tod) Pate, 77, died at his home in Lusk, Wyo., Monday, Nov. 25, 1991.

He was born Oct. 27, 1914, in Red Willow County, Neb. He was one of 11 children born to Delbert O. Pate and Drusilla (Traphagen) Pate.

He married Elouise M. Taylor on March 11, 1939, in Oberlin, Kan. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1989.

They are the parents of three daughters; Gloria (Mrs. Andy) Nelson of Manville; Carolyn (Mrs. Irv.) Skillings of Edmund, Okla.; and Judy (Mrs. Robert) Ruffing of Salisbury, Mo.

In the fall of 1947 the family moved to Niobrara County. He ranched in the Bright area for several years. He later moved to Lusk where he was employed by the Wyoming Highway Department, the C&H Refinery and the Niobrara County Road and Bridge Department where he was foreman until he retired in 1979.

He is survived by his wife Elouise, three daughters, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three brothers, four sisters and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three older sisters.

Services were held Friday, Nov. 29, 1991, at 2 p.m. at the Bader-Peet Chapel with Pastor Gary Burdick of Lance Creek Community Church conducting the service. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at Key Bank.

Pallbearers were his grandsons Tod Nelson, Rod Nelson, Richard Skillings, Brian Ruffing and Don Dryer and a friend, Bebe Reed.

Bader-Peet Mortuary of Lusk was in charge of the arrangements.
