Last Rites Held For Anderson Reed

Funeral services for Anderson W. Reed, 74, Nampa, Idaho, who died at a Caldwell hospital May 21, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. May 25. He was a brother of Mrs. E. E. Whiteaker.

The Rev. Ernest Wilson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Nampa, officiated. Entombment followed in the Building of Reverence at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Reed was born May 28, 1895 at Vesta, Neb., and was reared and attended school at Crab Orchard, Neb. He was married to Edna Tagart on January 9, 1916, at Crab Orchard. They made their home on various farms in Johnson County and Pawnee County, Neb., until November of 1922 when they moved to a farm in Dawes County near Crawford where they resided for 24 years.

The Reeds moved to Idaho in June of 1948 to make their home on an acreage near Nampa, later moving to an acreage near Middleton, then to Notus where they owned and operated a service station. In November of 1954 they moved to Nampa where they had since resided. Mrs. Reed died March 28 this year.

He is survived by one son, Marvin Reed, Coeur d'Alene; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Burnace) Reed, Nampa; two brothers, James Reed, Crab Orchard, Neb., and Charles Reed, Lincoln, Neb.; three sisters, Mrs. George (Leta) Ballard, Beatrice, Neb., Mrs. Edna Reed and Mrs. E. E. (Mary) Whiteaker, both of Harrison, Neb.; and by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, and by one brother.
