Nora Rider Dies
Funeral services for Nora A. Rider, 80, were held Monday at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk. She died June 9 at the Montana Hospital Nursing Home after an extended illness. She and her husband formely lived in the Rawhide Butte area south of Lusk.
She was a former resident of Lusk.
She was born Sep 2, 1896 at Houston, Mo., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas A. Hayes. Her family moved to Nebraska when she was young and she attended school near Meadow Grove, Neb. In the early 1900s the family moved to Wyoming.
On May 8, 1918 she married J. Frank Rider in Harrison, Neb. He survives.
Mrs. Rider moved to Montana in 1941 and she lived at Roundup, Winnett and Ryegate before moving to Lewiston in 1966.
Beside her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George Singley of Lewiston, two brothers, Floyd Hayes of Casper and Dalman Hayes of Los Angels, Calif. and various grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Boyles and Mrs. Ruth Hanks preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rider was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Interment was at the Lusk City Cemetery.
