Mrs. Rogers Dies in Ill. Dec. 19

Mrs. Julia Rogers, 81, mother of Sheriff Harold Rogers and Mrs. G. L. Pfeifer of Lusk, died December 19, at Washington Nursing Center Washington, Ill. She had been a patient at the nursing center for the past six months.

Funeral services were held at the Neal Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. December 23. David Daniels officiated. Music was furnished by Pearl and Erma Berthold. Burial was in the Iola Cemetery.

Casket bearers were William Freeman, Rolla Woods, Allen Tolliver, Charles Wilson, Eddie Hayes, Phillip Thames, D. W. Freeman and Marion Freeman.

Survivors include her widower, William Rogers, a patient at the Washington Nursing Center; three sons, Harold of Lusk, Hershel of Mackinaw and Herbert of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Pfeifer of Lusk and Mrs. Lucy Cox of Trout Creek, Mont.; one brother John Freeman of Iola; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Cantrall of Kankakee, Ill.; and Mrs. Mary Wisehart of Jacksonville, Ill.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers died previously.

She was a member of the Hord Christian Church, at Hord.

Mrs. Pfeifer and Mr. Rogers were unable to attend the services.
