Memorial services for Olga Vera Cannon, 87, were held Feb., 14, 2003, in Pierre, S. D. Inurment followed at Scotty Philip Cemetary, Ft. Pierre, S.D.
Olga Cannon died Feb. 10, 2003, at her home in Pierre, S.D.
She was born Aug. 6, 1915, to Wilhem and Margareta (Mulhausen) Huckfeldt in Lacy, S. D. She graduated from Ft. Pierre High School in 1932.
On Sept. 22, 1935, Olga married Lawrence W. Cannon.
She worked at Wayne's Grocery for several years and Fischer Brothers Grocery until she became the Ft. Pierre City Treasurer in 1967, working there until her retirement.
Olga was a member of the Pierre Congregation of Jehovah' Witnesses.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty and her husband Walter D. Huebner of Pomeroy, Wash., Mary Lee Cannon of Crofton, Neb.; one son John W. Cannon and his wife Diane of Lusk; two sisters-in-law; four grandsons, two granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, and one brother.
