Julia A. Carlson, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Beatitudes Campus of Care in Phoenix, Arizona.
She was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Moberly, Mo., to William John Martin and Emer Vroman Martin. Julia married George Carlson on July 12, 1946, in Laramie. She worked for the City of Laramie and the Bank of Laramie, retiring in 1981. She made her home in Laramie until moving to Phoenix in 1999.
Julia is survived by a brother, Albert Martin of Moberly, Mo.; two sons, John Carlson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mike Carlson and wife Lynn of Lusk; two grandchildren, Dr. Jim Carlson of Redford, Mich.; and Sara Lepke of Mitchell, S. D.; and two great-grand children, Brenda Carlson of Redford, Mich., and Taylor Lepke of Mitchell, S. D.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Carlson, in August of 1966; her parents; two sisters and four brothers.
A memorial service and interment of urn will take place at the Green Hill Cemetery in Laramie at a later date.
