Private family services will be held in Phoenix, Ariz., for Steven M. Sorem, 65, former Lusk resident.
Steve Sorem died July 31, 2003 at Grossmont Hospital in San Diego, Calif.
He was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Missouri, the son of J. Milton and Wanda Sorem. After leaving high school, he joined the Marines. He later did some trucking for Boogaart Supply Co. Shortly after, he began managing a cattle ranch north of Lusk. Many years later, after the ranch was sold, he returned to truck driving.
Survivors include two sons, Keith Sorem of Clinton, Iowa, and Joe Sorem of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Sara Hilburn of Avondale, Ariz., and Sandee Sorem of Shepherd, Mont.; one sister Carolyn S. McIntosh of Littleton, Colo.; and nine grandchildren.
