Mrs. Grace Bass Van Tassell Homesteader Dies in Casper Monday
Mrs. Grace B. Bass, 78, who homesteaded south of Van Tassell in 1913 died Monday at her home in Casper.
She was born March 22, 1894, at Des Moines, Iowa, reared there and married Millard H. Bass Dec. 7, 1911. They came to Wyoming in April of 1913 and homesteaded moving to Casper in 1916.
Her husband died in May of 1966. Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Dorothy Croley, Laramie, Miss Lotetta W. Bass, Casper and Mrs. Evelyn G. Schiff, Alhambra, Calif.; two brothers Joe L. and George Grove, both of Casper; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
