D. Sullenberger Dies in Casper

Dayton "Yellowstone Dutch" Sullenberger was found dead in a room at the Wyatt Hotel in Casper Monday.

The colorful Dutch was a familiar figure in Lusk. With his beard, western attire, he could hardly be missed. In recent years he spent a few months out of each year in Lusk. His summers were spent in West Yellowstone Mont.

He was a veteran of World War I and a long-time member of the American Legion. Politics was one of his great loves and his interest therein brought him in touch with many of the greats and near greats of both political parties.

He once served in the Nebraska legislature. At the time he published a weekly newspaper in Chadron.

Several years ago Dutch suffered a stroke and during his most recent visit in Lusk, during March and April, he complained that he was not feeling well.

Dutch had as his hobby as well as a sort of business, the promotion of travel on Highway 20 and 85 and perhaps other routes.

It is understood that funeral services will be held in Greybull where he has relatives living. The date is not yet known.
