Concluding Services Are Held for Walter T. Tallman, Friday, June 1st; Interment Made in Lusk Cemetery

Last services were held at two o'clock Friday afternoon, June 1st, for the late Walter T. Tallman, who passed away early Wednesday, May 30th in the Spencer Hospital where he had been receiving treatment for a chronic heart condition.

Rev. Jacob Nein, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Lusk, officiated at the rites which were held from the chapel of the Peet Funeral Home. During the services, Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Otha Holcomb sang two selections, "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," and "Going Down the Valley," with Mrs. Judson P. Watson presiding at the organ.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery with A. C. "Slim" Tibbits, Robert Taylor, Andy Christian, Pete Owens, Fred Bryant, "Oakie" Krekeler and Roger Percival acting as casketbearers.

Walter T. Tallman, son of Darius B. and Emaline (Smith) Tallman was born December 25, 1876 at Davenport, Iowa and departed this life May 30th, 1956 at Lusk, Wyoming, having attained the age of 79 years, five months and five days.

While yet a small boy, he moved with his parents to Wayne, Nebr., where his father passed away in 1900. His mother then moved her family to Walthill, Nebr., where in 1912 the mother passed away. From that time on, he lived in various states working at different jobs, until about five months ago, he came to Lusk and made his home with Mrs. Laura Tallman and family.

Thus, out of a family of fourteen children he is survived by a brother, J. J. Tallman of Palo Alto, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Mina Freeman of Neligh, Nebr., and his friends the Tallmans of Lusk, who took care of him during the past several months.

Walt Tallman Dies Wednesday

Walt Tallman, 79, died Wednesday at his home in Lusk, from complications of old age. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Peet Chapel with Rev. Jacob Nein, minister of the First Congregational Church officiating.

Final Rites for Walter Tallman Are Held Friday

Funeral services were held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Peet Chapel for Walter T. Tallman, 79, who died at the Spencer Hospital May 30 from complications of old age, with Rev. Jacob Nein, pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Otha B. Holcomb sang "Sweet Bye and bye" and "Going Down The Valley". Mrs. J. P. Watson was the organist.

Pallbearers were A. C. Tibbits, Fred Bryant, Otto Krekeler, Roger Percival, Robert Taylor and P. J. Owens.

Walter Tallman was born December 25, 1876 at Davenport, Ia. He spent his childhood in Nebraska. He has lived in various states working at different jobs from time to time. About five months ago he come to Lusk and made his home at Mrs. Laura Tallman's.

From a family of fourteen children, he is survived by one brother, J. J. Tallman of Pala Alta, Calif. and one sister, Mrs. Mina Freeman of Neligh, Nebr.
