Mrs. Ella Tangen Dies at Age 79
Mrs. Ella Tangen died at the Crawford Community Hospital on July 13 at the age of 79. Funeral services were held at Memorial Methodist Church in Harrison Saturday afternoon and burial was in the Harrison Cemetery.
Clara Louella Jaimet was born in Perry County, Ill., on May 28, 1887, the daughter of Benjamin Jaimet and Elizabeth Stutz. She married John Tangen at Pinckneyville, Ill., April 18, 1910.
She was the youngest of ten children the others having died previously. Surviving are only two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Minnie Jaimet and Mrs. Cora Jaimet. Among nieces and nephews Dr. Jaimet and Mrs. Carl Craig, both of Granite City, Ill., were here to attend the funeral.
The Rev. James Keith, minister of the Methodist Church, officiated at the funeral with Houston Funeral Home being in charge of arrangements. Among those from out-of-town attending were Mrs. Grace Parsons of Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Magoon of Lusk, Mrs. and Mrs. Tom Lewis, Mrs. Veda Langdon and Mrs. Lester Lewis of Van Tassell.
