Mrs. Burleigh, 70, Former Teacher, Dies in California
Word has been received in Lusk of the death of Mrs. Duane (Elsie) Burleigh, 70, of Antioch, Calif.
Mrs. Burleigh had been ill over a year and the last 11 weeks was confined to the Loma Linda University Hospital following two major brain operations.
Mrs. Burleigh then Elsie Morgan, taught school in Lusk in 1938 and 1939 and was married here to Mr. Burleigh who was working at the Lusk Herald at the time. They moved to California several years after their marriage.
No services were held as she had requested and she was cremated with the ashes scattered at sea.
Mrs. Burleigh is survived by her husband who lives at 4306 Silva St. Antioch, Calif. and a daughter Sharon.
