Teddy Weymouth Killed in China Airways Crash

A former Lusk boy, Teddy Weymouth, was killed when the Chinese National Airways plane which he was piloting crashed into a mountain peak near Hong Kong, January 27. The plane was carrying a 2-million dollar cargo of gold bullion and coins.

Orin Theodore Weymouth was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gay Weymouth, who resided in Lusk for several years about 1925-27. They occupied the residence where the Clyde Hampton family now resides and "Teddy" attended the Lusk Schools.

The plane was on a trip from Manila to Hong Kong when the tragedy occurred. It is reported to have been overloaded.

Young Weymouth received his discharge from the Army Air Corps some six months ago and signed up with the National Airways soon afterward. He had just recently moved his wife and baby from the United States to Manila.

His parents are now residing in California, his father being a retired railroad engineer. Mrs. Hazel Weymouth of Lusk is an aunt.
