A funeral liturgy for Desirah Lynn Benbo, 4, was held Monday, March 27 at Saint James Catholic Church in Douglas, with Father Andrew Duncan as celebrant. Interment was in Douglas Park Cemetery.
Desirah died Tuesday, March 21 at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colo., of an accident sustained at her home on Monday, March 20.
Desirah was born January 10, 1996, at Douglas, the daughter of David Lee Benbo and Amber Jean Hildebrand.
Desirah loved riding horses, going to softball games, and fishing.
She is survived by her parents, Amber and David of Douglas, sister Tristin Marie Benbo of Douglas, maternal grandparents Loretta and Cowboy Hildebrand of Douglas, paternal grandparents Rich and Ann Benbo of Douglas, great maternal grandparents Marg and Albert Hildebrand of Douglas, great paternal grandparents Christina Sanchez of Douglas and Shirley and Raymond Brown of Lusk; great-great maternal grandmother Mable Eggleston of Wheatland; and godparents Angie and Al Meza of Douglas; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers were Rich Benbo, Cowboy Hildebrand, Shawn Hildebrand and Al Meza. Honorary pallbearers were all of her family and friends.
Memorials to the Desirah Benbo Memorial Fund, Converse County Bank, PO Box 689, Douglas, WY 82633, would be appreciated by the family.
