Service for Edwin Claus Joseph Brockmoller, 91, of Lingle, was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 1995 at The Colyer Funeral Home with Reverend Troy Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Glen Cemetery near Harrison, Nebraska. Ed died in a health care facility in Lusk, Wyo., on August 18, 1995.
He was born October 15, 1903, the son of Franz H. and Anna (Tredler) Brockmoller, at Clearwater, Nebraska. He grew up and received his education there and married Frances Winchell on June 10, 1936. They farmed near Clearwater until 1945 when they moved to Lewellyn, Nebraska where he was a blacksmith. In 1956 they moved to Hooper, Nebraska and farmed until 1981. They retired near Harrison until 1989 when they moved to Lingle.
He was affiliated with Christ Church Assembly of God in Torrington. He is survived by his daughter, LaVonne Anderson and granddaughter Robin Vollmar, both of Lingle; grandson Scott Weichel of Lisco, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Cathryn Weichel of Douglas, Wyoming; brother, Louis Brockmoller of Castle Rock, Washington and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 14 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at The Colyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday at 9 a.m. and at the service.
