Graveside services for Samuel Roy DeFord, age 37, were held Monday at the Lusk Cemetery with Rev. Del Cowley officiating.
Mr. DeFord, a former Lusk resident, died Thursday, January 27, in San Jose, Calif.
He was born February 17, 1956, in Smith Center, Kan., the son of Ralph and Charlotte DeFord. He was reared and educated in Downs, Kan.
While working in Electrical Engineering with Industry and Mining of Wyoming, in 1980 he sustained a head injury in an automobile accident. He had resided in the Traumatic Head Injury Institute in Morgan Hill, Calif. until the time of his death.
Survivors include his parents of Hulett, Wyo.; a brother Robert, Robert's wife Judy and their family of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Cynthia Wood and family of Laramie, Wyo., Susan Johnson, her husband Jack and family of Hulett, Wyo.; his maternal grandparents, M. W. and Helen Spivey of Atlanta, Georgia; plus numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
Bader Funeral Home of Lusk is in charge of arrangements.
