W.T. Hawkins Dies in Lusk Wednesday

William Thomas Hawkins, 77, a resident of the Hat Creek community for 40 years, died in the Spencer Hospital early Wednesday morning of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mr. Hawkins is survived by his wife, two sons, Kenneth of Lance Creek and Elwood who lived at home; and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Porter, Crawford, Nebr. and Mrs. Ted Harris, Denver.
Funeral services have tentatively been set for 2:00 p.m. Friday.
Services for William Hawkins Held Here Friday
Funeral services were held at the Peet Mortuary Friday at 2:00 p.m. for William Hawkins with the Rev. Jacob Nein officiating.
Mrs. Robert Bramlet, Mrs. Jim Berry, Dr. Richard Collins, and Harry Lyons sang "In The Garden" and "God Be With You." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist.
Pallbearers were: John Goddard, Gaylord Anderson, Albert Ruffing, Henry McGinnis, C. E. Marvin, Ed Hesco, Walter Klemke and Woodson Graham.
Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
William Thomas Hawkins was born at Plainview, Nebr. October 10, 1892.The family moved to the Divide community in 1919 and to the Hat Creek community two years later. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Kenneth of Lance Creek and Elwood who lives at home; and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Porter, Crawford, Nebr. and Mrs. Ted Harris, Denver.
