Fred McAnulty, 68, Manville Rancher For 33 years, Dies

Fred. M. McAnulty, 68, of Manville community died at the Lusk Hospital Friday afternoon, April 22, following a serious illness of four months.

Funeral services were held at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk, Monday afternoon, with Rev. H. F. Carter in charge. Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery

Casket bearers were Rawleigh Reed, T. L. Cantwell, Ernest Paulson, Walter Keister, John Rice, and Jalmer Thon. Mr. H. J. Templeton and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro provided the music, singing, "Whispering Hope," "No Night There, " and "The Cross is Not Greater." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist.

Fred Moore McAnulty was born February 4, 1881, at Ord, Neb., the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. McAnulty, pioneers of Nebraska. When he was a year old his parents moved to Scotia, where he grew to manhood, remaining there until 1916, when he came to Wyoming. He was educated in the schools of Scotia and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University at Lincoln. On Sept. 25, 1907, he married Miss Laura Long at Asheville, N. C. who is the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Miles H. Long.

Mr. McAnulty was an active member of the Methodist Church through the years of his life at Scotia, and although in later years, because of his illness, he was unable to attend services he maintained much interest in the church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Scotia.

He leaves his wife, whose love and constant care throughout his illness of 20 years was a source of strength to him. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. O. M. Rasmussen of Manville, one nephew, Keith McAnulty of Seattle, Wash., and an Uncle, Dr. Milan Moore of Los Angeles.

Mr. McAnulty has made his home on the ranch south of Manville for 33 years, where for the past 20 years he has been a semi-invalid. Although handicapped, he carried on the activities of general ranch life, and friends recall the remarkable effort he made to overcome his illness.
