Death Claims Mrs. Minnie Wanker on May 29th; Age 67

Mrs. Minnie M. Wanker, 67 years and 23 days of age, passed away in the Spencer Hospital at 3:30 a.m. Saturday May 29th after suffering a stroke of paralysis at her home in the Fagan apartments the preceding Monday. Immediately following the attack, she was taken to the hospital but failed to respond to continued treatment.

Mrs.Wanker was preceded in death by her husband some eleven years ago and is survived by four sisters, Miss Amelia Kirst, Mrs. Jefferds, Mrs. Hoyt and Mrs. Haight all living in the vicinity of Brocksburg, Nebr.; and one nephew, Jess Hoyt.

Last services were held Monday, May 31st from the chapel of the Peet Mortuary with Rev. Millard H. Marshall, pastor of the Congregational Church of this city in charge of the rites. Vocal music was offered during the services by the Misses Laverne Johns, and Yvonne Vogel, the song being, "Rock of Ages" and "Nearer My God To Thee," Miss Alice accompanied at the chapel organ. Casket bearers included Jim Hoblit, Mel Hoblit, Don Taylor, Will Milburn, O. P. Harnagel, and M. A. Fosher. Burial was made in the cemetery at Manville.

Mrs. Wanker, until about a year ago, had made her home on the ranch where she and her husband homestead south of Manville. She was born in Iowa, and lived in Nebraska before coming to Wyoming. She had been a resident of Niobrara county for the past thirty-three years.
