Death Takes Mrs. J.M. Rasmussen

Mrs. J.M. Rasmussen of Ft. Laramie died at the Spencer Hospital in Lusk Friday afternoon, Dec. 7, after a lingering illness. Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen had been residents of Lusk and Lance Creek for many years and for the past several years have resided at Ft. Laramie.

Zula Bell Rasmussen was born in Prairie County, Ark. May, 1891.

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Woodard, pastor of the Community Church of Ft. Laramie officiating, assisted by Rev. Shroyer, pastor of the Church of God of Lusk.

Music was furnished by Mrs. H.J. Templeton and Mrs. Emerson Bonner, with Mrs. J.P. Watson accompanist. Members of the Rebekah Lodge of Lance Creak conferred their memorial service at the chapel. Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery, beside her son, Gene Roll, who was killed in World War II. The casket bearers were Floyd Siemsen, James Rogers, Robert Burgess, Ace Moore, Ben Silvers, Bert Gibson, E.W. Talbert and Clarence Jones.

Besides her husband, surviving are a son, Ross Roll, of Lusk, and two grandchildren. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Evatt of Ft. Laramie, and three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Heath of Little Rock, Ark.; Mrs. May Morse, of Keo, Ark.; and Mrs. Lena Brownlow, of Pine Bluffs, Ark., all of whom were here to attend the services.
