David W. Freeman Dies in Illinois

David Walker Freeman, father of Mrs. Carl H. Johnson of Keeline, died at his home at Bethany, Ill, Mar. 10 at the age of 73. Short funeral services were held at the McMullin Funeral Home at Bethany after which the body was taken to Hord, Ill., where services were conducted from the Congregational Christian Church with interment in the Iola Cemetery.

Mr. Freeman was one of the early settlers of Keeline and played an important part in the founding of the town. He homesteaded in that community in 1908 and for many years was postmaster of Keeline and conducted a general store there.
