Maurice Young, Party In Posvar Case to Be Tried Here, Dies
Maurice Young, 51-year-old Bates Hole rancher, near Casper, died at Memorial Hospital there Sunday afternoon. He was suffering from a liver ailment.
Young was to have figured in the trial of Louis Posvar, set on a change of venue before Judge Ilsley in District Court at Lusk on October 3, when a jury was to be called. Posvar is charged with felonious assault on Young, a neighboring rancher, last November 1.
Young was wounded in the left leg, right arm and groin in a shooting which climaxed a 25-year feud between the two men, officers stated.
A post-mortem was performed Sunday evening on Young's body, but no statement as to the outcome was immediately available.
