Mrs. Alice Scott

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Scott, 86, of Jay Em were held in Ft. Laramie, January 2, and were conducted by the Rev. George Woodard. Burial was made in the Red Cloud cemetery, west of Jay Em.

The deceased was born August 23, 1859, at Monroe, Iowa. In 1898 she and her husband moved to Nebraska, making the trip in a covered wagon. They came to Wyoming in 1917.

Mrs. Scott is survived by four sons - Amos of Ft. Laramie, Marshall of Ackley, Iowa, and Earl and Charles of Lusk, and three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Milnes of Ft. Laramie, Mrs. Rose Johnson of Gordon, Neb., and Mrs. Lennie Waggoner of Jay Em. She also leaves 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Two sons, Pearl and Frank, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Scott died at the Spencer Hospital in Lusk, Saturday, December 29, 1945.

RED CLOUD RESIDENT DIES HERE DEC. 29

Mrs. Elizabeth Scott, 86, died at the Spencer Hospital in Lusk, Saturday, December 29, after being in ill health for some time due to her advanced age.

Mrs. Scott resided in the Red Cloud community south of Lusk and the remains were taken there by the Collier Mortuary of Torrington.
