Sigmund Gustav Theodore "Pete" Hahn

Sigmund Gustav Theodore "Pete" Hahn passed to his heavenly reward on April 3, 2008 in Lusk, after a long struggle with cancer. Mr. Hahn was a long-time resident of Lusk and a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lusk on April 7, 2008, with Pastor Darren Pflughoeft officiating. Interment will be in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mr. Hahn was born in Millboro, S.D., on March 23, 1923, the son of the Reverend Edward and Esther (Bartz) Hahn, last of Valentine, Neb. Both parents preceded him in death, as did a sister, Margaret M. Boje; a brother, Robert Hahn; and a daughter Barbara (Daniel) Wright.

He is survived by his wife Ruth (Sprengeler) Hahn; three daughters: Carol (Jack) Ott of Lakewood, Colo., Judy (Joel) Talbot of Northglenn, Colo., and Susan (Randy) Tucker of Riverton; and his son Paul "Bud" (Mary) Hahn of Houston, Tex. He is also survived by four brothers: Arnold Hahn of Tucson, Ariz., Homer Hahn of Spring City, Tenn.; Mervin Hahn of Crofton, Neb., and Donley Hahn of Austin, Tex; as well as a sister, Darlene Brewer of Beaumont, Calif., eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hahn retired from U.S. Government Service in 1983, where he worked as an Electronics Technician for the Federal Aviation Administration.

The family has requested that any donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lusk, or to the American Cancer Society.

Pier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
