Son of Mrs. Ross Killed in Accident

Ambrose Ross, 25 years old, son of former Governor Wm. B. Ross and Nellie Tayloe Ross, was killed in an automobile accident which occurred late last Friday afternoon on the outskirts of Saratoga, 100 miles west of Cheyenne.

Young Ross had driven from Saratoga toward Encampment with John Paulsen, a former university friend, and as he neared Saratoga on the return trip, his car, a light roadster, skidded on the icy road and turned over, throwing Paulsen clear of the machine, but pinning Ross underneath it. Residents of Saratoga who went to the scene of the accident a few minutes after its occurrence found Ross already dead, the result of a broken neck.

Besides his mother, Ross is survived by his widow, two brothers, George, his twin, and William Bradford Ross. His father died several years ago following a major operation.

Mrs. Ross, who had been forced to cancel a speaking tour when she became ill with the flu in Springfield, left there soon after receiving word of the death of her son, despite her own illness.

Funeral services were held Monday morning from St. Mark's Episcopal church, the Rev. Charles Bennett officiating. Interment was in Lakeview cemetery, beside his father, the late Gov. Wm. B. Ross.
