Mother Of Lance Creek Lady Passed Away Aug. 14

Mrs. Henrietta J. Haight, 75 years and mother of Mrs. E. H. Kirch of Lance Creek, passed away at the home of one of her sons in Gillette, Wyoming on Wednesday, Aug. 14th. Mrs. Haight was quite well known in the Lance Creek community having visited her daughter and son-in-law for several months last fall.

Coming to N. E., Nebr., in 1884 as a bride she resided there until the fall of '39 when at that time she leased her home and decided to spend the next year or so with her children. After visiting in Lance Creek, she visited other children in Greeley, Colo. and Lander, Wyo., coming back to Lance Creek on July 8th. During the latter part of July, she went to Gillette where she visited two sons, Wayne and Claude and that time she was taken ill at Claude's home where she passed away.

Survivors of the deceased are five daughters, Mrs. Maude Bertrand of San Francisco, California; Mrs. L. D. Hobbs of Greeley, Colorado; Mrs. E. H. Kirch of Lance Creek, Wyoming; Mrs. J. M. Christie of Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. K. R. Smathers of Gillette, Wyoming; seventeen grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1924.

Funeral arrangements were conducted at Verdel, Nebraska where interment was made on Saturday, Aug. 17th.
