Obituary

Harvey F. Connely was born at Titusville, Pa., January 16, 1861 and departed from this life August 6, 1940 at 5:35 p.m. at the home of his step daughter Mrs. D. J. Cobb where he has made his home for 5 years. He was 79 years, 6 months and 2 days old.

In 1884 he was united in marriage to Miss Sadie Barr of Magraws, Pa., who passed away in 1894. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Thompson of Cushing, Okla.; three sons, Harry and Lee Connely of Casper, Wyoming and Orland Connely of Sterling, Michigan. All are living to mourn his death.

In 1898 he married Miss Jennie Botsford of Pleasantville, Pa. Two daughters were born to this union; Garnett of Pleasantville and Eva of Pittsburg, Pa.

In 1909 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Maude Sparks of Washingson, Indiana. Although no children were born to this union he was always a kind and loving father to his step-daughter, Mrs. Cobb.

Early in life he was converted and joined the Free Methodist church. In 1921 he united with the Baptist church at Morris, Okla., and was ordained as Deacon in the Morris Baptist Church.

He was raised and worked all his life in the oil fields. He was Supt. for the Skelly Oil Co., in Okla. and worked until he was 64 years old. He was always a hard working man.

Mr. Connely leaves to mourn his death his wife, Mrs. Maude Connely; two sisters, Mrs. Emma McIntrye of Bradford, Pa., and Mrs. Etta Brant of Titusville, Pa.; one brother, Charles Connely of Chauncy, Ill.; three sons, three daughters, one step-daughter, 13 grand children and 4 great grandchildren.

Although He's gone from our midst we know he's gone to be with our blessed Saviour who doeth all things well.
