ROCK SPRINGS, WYO. - Douglas A. Preston, former Wyoming attorney general and state senator from Sweetwater county, died here Sunday in a hospital. Death was attributed to heart failure.
Mr. Preston was seriously injured October 8, when the car in which he was returning with his wife from Kemmerer left the highway and overturned, 12 miles west of Granger. He suffered four broken ribs and a severe fracture of the skull.
Mr. Preston was a member of the constitutional convention of 1889, and of the house of representatives from 1903 to 1905. He was named attorney general in 1911 by Governor Carey, and after retiring from office resumed the practice of law.
