Jesse A. Federle

Jesse Alan Federle, 62, son of Max and Mabel Anderson Federle, was born March 6, 1921 at Harrison, Nebr., and died Saturday, Jan. 14, 1984 at the Veterans Hospital, Fort Meade, S. Dak.

He attended Harrison Grade School and graduated from Sioux County High School in 1939. He attended Chadron State College for two years and graduated from the College of Medicine, George Washington University, in 1952.

He served as a staff sargeant in the Army during WWII with duty in the Pacific Theatre. He retired as a Lieutenant in the Medical Corps, U.S. Navy. He practiced medicine in Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas.

Survivors include a son, David, and a grandson, Augustus, of Louisville, Key.; two brothers, Kenneth of Eugene, Ore. and John of Harrison, Nebr.; an aunt, Grace Berlach, two cousins, Patricia McCoy of San Diego, Calif. and Maxine Burnaught of Bakersfield, Calif.

Services were held Friday, Jan. 20 at Chamberlain Chapel, Crawford, Nebr., with Rev. Gerald Carlson officiating. Pall bearers were Emery Zimmerman, Alvin Publow, Bernard Donohue, Dale DeHaven, Clarence Schnurr and Harry Serres, Jr.

Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery, Harrison, Nebr.
