Tom Lewis Dies At Torrington

Thomas C. Lewis, 73, resident of Torrington, died Sunday afternoon at the Goshen County Hospital.

Mr. Lewis was born September 18, 1901, in Harrison, son of Charles W. and Minnie Dennis Lewis. He was educated in Eden Valley School and other rural Harrison schools. He was married July 4, 1929, to Margaret Hebner in Chadron. The couple were engaged in ranching 35 miles north of Torrington in Goshen County for the last 44 years and prior to this had resided in the Harrison area where Mr. Lewis was engaged in raising horses. He had spent his entire life in Sioux county and Goshen county, Wyo.

He was a member of the Wyoming Stock Growers Association, and was baptized by Rev. Delbert Dick of Wheatland, Wyo.

Survivors include his wife Margaret, and one son Charles F. Lewis of Torrington, one daughter Mrs. June Sauls of The Dalles, Ore.; one sister Mrs. Rose Wilson of Sun City, Ariz.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Thomas C. in 1952, and two brothers.

Funeral service was being conducted this Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Harrison with Rev. Delbert Dick of Wheatland officiating. Interment was in the Harrison Cemetery.
