Quentin 'Bud' Spracklen

Funeral services for Quentin Poirot "Bud" Spracklen, 69, of Douglas, were held Tuesday, February 16, 1918 at the Converse Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jon Laughlin of First United Methodist officiated. Burial was in the Douglas Park Cemetery. I.O.O.F. Lodge conducted the gravsite rites.

Spracklen died Feb. 12, 1988, at Michael Manor in Douglas following a long illness.

He was born Sept. 5, 1918, at Douglas, the son of Willis and Mildred Poirot Spracklen. He was reared and educated in Glendo. He worked on ranches in the Douglas and Glendo areas, and was a truck driver.

He married Delores Spracklen Oct. 4, 1977. in Casper. He retired in 1983, and remained a resident of Douglas until his death. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge.

Survivors include wife Delores of Douglas; four sons, Wayne of Crawfordsville, Ind., Jerry of Virginia, Bart of Douglas, and Bret of Lance Creek; one step-son, Richard Spracklen of Sundance; two daughters, Holly Clements of Newcastle and Edith Ann Ramos of Douglas; two step-daughters, Kathy Nix and Doris Bomboy, both of Farmington, N.M.; one brother George of Douglas; and one sister, Patricia MaGee of Douglas.
