John F. Miller Dies Wednesday
John F. Miller, 74, who ranched on the Harry Card place near Manville the past two years, died at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 9:30 a.m., after a short illness.
The remains were taken by the Peet Mortuary to Douglas for burial. The services will be conducted by the I.O.O.F. of Douglas and burial will be made in the Douglas cemetery.
John Franklin Miller was born at Clinton, Tenn. March 22, 1878 to Armstard Miller and Louisa Queener Miller. Fifty-two years ago he was married to Nancy Kane.
Before moving to Manville two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Miller resided in Casper.
Survivors include his wife; 4 daughters, Mrs. 0.R. Stormo of Casper, Mrs. Bryan Creager of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Peter Van Buggenum of Gillette and Miss Evadene of Manville; three sons, Amos of Manville, Cecil of Glenrock and Asa of Douglas.

Last Rites for John F. Miller are held Monday in Douglas
Funeral services were held Monday at the First Baptist church is Douglas for the late John F. Miller, who passed away at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital on Wednesday of last week.
Rev. Clyde Thompson and the Douglas Odd Fellow lodge officiated at the services, with interment being made in Douglas Park cemetery.
John F. Miller was born at Clinton, Tenn. Mar. 22, 1878. At the age of 16 he joined the Baptist church and was baptized on Christmas day.
He was united in marriage to Nancy King at Clinton Tenn. September 20, 1899. He had had been a member of the Odd Fellow lodge at Clinton for 50 years.
He is survived by four sons, Cecil H. Miller of Glenrock, Asa F. Miller of Douglas and Amos Miller of Manville; four daughters, Mrs. O.R. Stormo and Mrs. Byron Creagor of Portland., Ore., Mrs. Peter Van Buggenum of Gillette, and Miss Evadine Miller of Manville.
Relatives from distant points attending services in Douglas include J. T. Miller of Knoriville, Tenn., his brother, Mr. and Mrs. William H. King of Moorhead, Minn., his brother-in-law and wife, and a nephew, John Bertolero, daughter and family of Casper.
