Edward Danny Newman, 63, of Chadron died Oct. 27, 2008 at Chadron Community Hospital after a battle with cancer. A celebration of life service is planned for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at 246 Spruce St. in Chadron, Neb.
He was born Oct. 6, 1945, in Vale, SD to Martha M. Guider (Kalmback) and Chuck Newman. Edward was a member of the U.S. Army and served two tours in Vietnam. After, he worked in the construction and roofing industries for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
His survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Watson of Deer Park, Wash.; Amanda Green of Chadron, Neb; and Nadina Kubo of Chadron, Neb.: Two brothers, Frank Newman of Hico, TX; Donny Sweesey of Spearfish, SD; Two sisters Irma Armsted of Gillette; Linda Newman of Lead, SD: and eight grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for the Chadron Hospital Foundation, Cancer Rooms. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
