W.W. MILBURN PASSES AWAY AT HOME MONDAY MORNING

Old-Time Resident Passes Away After Second Stroke of Paralysis

W. W. Milburn, resident of Lusk since 1909,died at his home here about 7:00 o'clock Monday morning, at the age of 77 years, after fighting against death for over a week with cerebral hemorrhage, caused by a stroke which he suffered January 8.

Mr. Milburn was born in Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa, September 1, 1854, and spent the first part of his life there. He came to Lusk in 1909, where he took up a homestead and lived here the balance of his life.

During his residence here he was in business in Lusk, and built the building which is now occupied by the Green Drug Co.

Mr. Milburn was in good health up until about a month ago, when he suffered a slight stroke, which did not cause serious trouble. However, He had another stroke on January 8th, from which he failed to rally.

The funeral services will be held from the Peet Mortuary, Thursday afternoon at 2:30, with the Rev. Edwin Irwin of the Congregational Church officiating.

Pallbearers will be O. P. Harnagel, George B. Saffell, Leon Van Tassell, Wm. Tate, A. E. Johnston and Lee Miller.

Interment will be made in the Lusk Cemetery, arrangements being made by the Peet Mortuary.

OBITUARY
Willard Webster Milburn was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, September 1, 1854. His early life was spent in and near that city. He was married to Eldora Freeman on July 4, 1880, and to this union four children were born.

He came to Lusk in March, 1909, and took up a homestead here. In later years he has lived in Lusk.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, four children, Laura O. Stamy, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Ernest C. Milburn of Lusk, and Earl and Ralph Milburn of Wilmington, Calif.; five grandchildren, Guy, Margaret, Howard, Gertrude and Darlene. He also leaves two brothers, Addison and Benjamin, and two sisters, Lydia Wood and Adelia Freeman.

Mr. Milburn was a highly respected citizen and had a host of warm friends in Lusk and surrounding communities.
