Former Resident of Lusk Passes Away in Barber Shop at Sunrise

Word has been received here that Asher Fairchild Rush, who formerly resided at Lusk, passed away Tuesday, December 1st, at Sunrise, this state. He was sitting in the barber chair at the Y.M.C.A. shop and the barber was about to start shaving him when it was noticed that he had passed away.

Although 74 years of age, Mr. Rush had never had a serious illness and was in very good health up to the time of his death.

He was a man who numbered his friends by his acquaintances. He had belonged to the Masonic lodge for 40 years.

Mr. Rush came to the west in the '70's and located in Wyoming in 1915 at Lusk where he resided until going to Sunrise about four years ago.

He leaves to mourn two children, a son, Asa P. Rush at Sunrise and a daughter, Mary Johnson of Kiamoth Falls, Idaho. Three years ago his beloved wife and a daughter passed away on the same day.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 4th, and were in charge of the Masonic order. Interment was made in the Hartville cemetery where he was laid to rest beside his wife and daughter.
