Matilda Christine Ellicott

Mrs. Earl Ellicott died in Omaha hospital last week of Tina or Bright's disease after a lingering illness covering several months.
She was buried in Harrison last Thursday Jan. 8, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hanson, section foreman of that place. Besides a husband she leaves 5 little children on the ranch just east of Van Tassell to mourn her untimely death.
Matilda C. Hanson was born in Mapleton, Iowa, April 21, 1891.
She moved to Sioux county Neb. with her parents when a small child, was educated in the Harrison public schools and afterwards taught several terms in the Sioux county schools.
On March 6th, 1911, she was united in marriage to Earle A. Ellicott. To this union five children were born, all of whom, with the husband, survive to mourn the loss of a true wife and faithful mother.
She was cheerful through illness as she was in health and her friends wee numbered by her acquaintences.
Her health began to fail in the fall of 1919 and on Dec. 11th she was taken to the Ford hospital in Omaha where everything known to medical science was done, bu the hand of death could not be stayed and on Jan. 5, she passed peacefully to her heavenly reward.
Besides the immedidate family she leaves a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hanson of Harrison, two sisters Esther Hanson and Mrs. Harvey Byxbe also of Harrison and two brothers Chas. Hanson Fremont, Nebr. and Oscar Hanson of Chadron, Nebr.
Funeral services were held at Harrison conducted by Rev. Mugil of that place and burial was made in the Harrison cemetery.
