William

William "Bill" Nunamaker, 76, of Lusk, Wyo., passed away at the Niobrara Health and Life Center on May 20, 2009, after a 14 year battle with cancer.

Bill was born in Minerva, Ohio on July 4, 1932, to Bill and Georgia (Kistner) Nunamaker. He remained in Minerva until moving to Evanston, Wyo. in 1976. Bill and Pearl moved to Lusk upon the opening of the Wyoming Women's Center. He served as Lusk Chief of Police, and worked part-time for the Sheriff's Department after retiring from the Police Department.

Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pearl; sister Patty Beadnell of Minerva, Ohio; daughters Vicki Sears (Dave) of Cheyenne, Candi Nunamaker of Salt Lake City, and Billi Jo of Lusk; grandsons Jeremy Nunamaker and William Limb of Cheyenne; and granddaughter Amanda Limb of Lusk. His great-grandchildren, Gwynevere, Alex, Sausyty, Zak, Skye, and Nicky were the greatest joy for him. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and special friend, Dick.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother, and one sister.

Bill did not want a memorial service, but his wish was for friends and family to send donations in his memory to the Niobrara Health and Life Center Foundation, PO Box 780, Lusk, Wyo.
